Es handelt sich hierbei um eine Drohung mit fehlender Apodosis, wie sie in den Staatsverträgen üblich ist. Houwink ten Cate Ph.H.J. 1974a, 132 übersetzt dagegen: „[wh]ichever king shall rise to power, he shall not speak to the countries (this) word: „I have made you this ordinance!“ Wieder anders Cammarosano M. 2009a, 188: „[who]ever becomes king, to the countries will he not say these words?: 'For you I made this išḫiul text!'“.
Cammarosano M. 2009a, 189 übersetzt: „If my father [ ... ] took“; Houwink ten Cate Ph.H.J. 1974a, 132 ergänzt: „and if my father begins [to pay attention to it(?)]“. Denkbar ist auch „setzt“.
