Version 1 is attested in a single manuscript, KBo 31.172. Its attribution to the nuntarriyašḫa- festival rests on the reference to the slaughtering of a he-goat in the temple of the Stag-god. This corresponds precisely to what the outline tablets prescribe for DAY 26. Since the relevant clause in KBo 31.172 appears on the reverse, it is assumed that the obverse described the events of the preceding day.
It should be noted, however, that similar celebrations in the temple of the Stag-god also occur during the AN.DAḪ.ŠUM festival (see Popko M. 2003b: 16 with n. 20), and it is therefore not impossible that KBo 31.172 in fact depicts spring celebrations, or, alternatively, rites that are not tied to a specific season (see, e.g. KUB 10.93 for an example of such a text).
