This fragment is one-sided, no edges or intercolumnium are preserved. The fragment contains a Luwian text, which is divided with four paragraph lines.

Middle Script

This fragment was found in Temple 1.

The ductus of this fragment is identical to that of CTH 766.4.a and these two pieces probably belong to the same manuscript. The mention of a potential assault on the child matches a parallel attack in CTH 766.4.a. The word ḫūppanza “evil” finds a parallel in CTH 766.2.1. The formula involving years and days is also found in KUB 35.145 rev. iii 3'–4' (CTH 765.9.A).

The attribution of this fragment to CTH 766 follows from its being part of the same manuscript as CTH 766.4.a.
