Citatio: M. Cammarosano (ed.), hethiter.net/: CTH 526.23 (INTR 2020-04-15)
Cult inventory (CTH 526.23) Textual tradition
Basis of the edition The present edition is based on the photographs available at the Mainzer Photoarchiv of the Hethitologie Portal Mainz, as well as the available hand-copies and relevant secondary literature up to 2019. When the original manuscripts have been collated, this is noted in the commentary. Commentary Previous editions: Haas and Jakob-Rost 1984. This fragment pertains to the town of Kašḫa, which is located in the vicinity of Ḫanḫana (Kryszeń 2016: 173-74). No direct relation to the great festival of Telipinu CTH 638, which also included rites performed at a ḫuwaši-stone in Kašḫa, can be established (see Cammarosano 2013: 73 and Steitler 2017: 309 for discussion). obv. r. col. 12′: Haas and Jakob-Rost 1984 proposed to restore 12 [NA₄ZI.KINḪI.A] based on KBo 54.125+ iv 11′, but no relation between the two fragments is apparent (see Steitler 2017: 309). In view of the preceding list of festivals, a reference to the twelve monthly festivals seems more likely.
