Citatio: M. Cammarosano (ed.), hethiter.net/: CTH 526.24 (INTR 2020-04-15)
Cult inventory (CTH 526.24) Textual tradition
Basis of the edition The present edition is based on the photographs available at the Mainzer Photoarchiv of the Hethitologie Portal Mainz, as well as the available hand-copies and relevant secondary literature up to 2019. When the original manuscripts have been collated, this is noted in the commentary. Commentary obv. 2′: The nature of the professional designation LÚšarmeya- and its possible relation to the wild animal called šarmiya are unclear, see CHD Š 278-79. obv. 4′: The DN is restored following Rost 1963: 189 (and van Gessel 2001: 53), but other names are possible. obv. 8′: The GN is read “Duwata” in Rost 1963: 189 and RGTC 6 449, but this name is unattested elsewhere and the traces of the alleged DU may read just as well LA; the two inscribed verticals present in the copy are not visible on the original manuscript (collated in March 2020).
