Cult inventory (CTH 528.100) Textual tradition
Basis of the edition The present edition is based on the photographs available at the Mainzer Photoarchiv of the Hethitologie Portal Mainz, as well as the available hand-copies and relevant secondary literature up to 2019. When the original manuscripts have been collated, this is noted in the commentary. Commentary This fragment of a three-columned tablet written in a non-cursive script preserves a celebratory narrative of Tudḫaliya IV on his restoration of the cults of Nerik at the beginning of the third column, and a fragmentary festival description at the end of the fourth column. Whereas it is impossible to determine whether this a festival description or a cult inventory, both the formal features and the content point rather to the former option (see Cammarosano 2013: 80-81). Palaeography and orthography: Non-cursive script. Late QA (iii 1-2, 6). iii 1-17: This passage is edited in von Schuler 1965: 186-87. iv 6′-7′: On this passage see CHD L-N 323.
