Basis of the edition

The present edition is based on the photographs available at the Mainzer Photoarchiv of the Hethitologie Portal Mainz, as well as the available hand-copies and relevant secondary literature up to 2019. When the original manuscripts have been collated, this is noted in the commentary.

Commentary

2′, 6′: For the occurrence of the sacred bed, GiŠnatḫit, cf. DAAM 1.41 iv 4′.

6′: Cf. KBo 2.8 iv 1′, 15′; KBo 12.138 10′; KUB 56.39 ii 31′.

9′: The traces of the last sign are compatible with a reading PÁR or PA but do not allow a reading BI (which would lead to the EZEN4 šuppiyaḫḫuwaš attested in other fragments).
