History of publication

KBo 52.114 was recognized as an outline tablet of the nuntarriyašḫa- festival by Corti C. 2007, who observed that the text is closely parallel to KUB 59.2+ (Outline.8 in the present edition). Bo 7689 had previously been suggested as a join to KUB 59.2+ (Groddek apud HPMM 1: 202 n. 3450).

Tablet characteristics

Only portions of twenty-one lines of text are preserved: nine in obv. ii and twelve on rev. iii.

Palaeography and handwriting

Outline.10 is written in the New Script but contains more pre-IIIa sign forms than any other outline of the nuntarriyašḫa- festival, while at the same time showing no IIIb variants. Note the older forms of KÙ, GI and URU, and the absence of the late forms of LI or MEŠ (Kryszeń A. 2025a: 137–140). It may therefore be tentatively assumed to be the oldest version of the festival.

Text transmission

Most of the fragments of Outline.10 were found in Temple I. The find spot of Bo 7689, if correctly attributed, would be established through its join.
