Kurzbeschreibung |
This version represents a series focusing on the queen’s activities on DAY 5 of the nuntarriyašḫa- festival. At the centre of the events are multiple offerings to various hypostases of the Sun-goddesses of Arinna, each associated with one of the six former Hittite queens: Walanni, Nikalmati (both wives of Tudḫaliya I), Ašmunikal (wife of Arnuwanda I), Duduḫepa (wife of Tudḫaliya II), Ḫenti, and Tawananna (both wives of Šuppiuliuma I).

History of publication |
Ms. A (at that time without the join with Bo 7656) and ms. B were edited by Nakamura M. 2002a: 188–207. Ms. C has not been edited previously.
Tablet characteristics |
As far as can be determined, all mss. were originally three-column tablets. Ms. B consists of indirect joins, proposed by Otten H. 1967c: viii and later accepted both in Nakamura’s edition and in the present study.
Palaeography and handwriting |
Ms. A shows several diagnostic signs in their IIIc forms (ḪA with one Winkelhaken, DA without the broken horizontal). Ms. B was written in the New Script. Ms. C remains unpublished, so a palaeographical analysis cannot yet be made.
