Version 1 is a single-tablet composition describing a one-day autumn festival celebrated in Matilla. It is attested by three manuscripts. Ms. A (KBo 21.78+), which preserves the colophon in full, constitutes the principal fragment, while mss. B and C duplicate individual passages of ms. A.
Although Nakamura M. 2002a: 115 did not edit KBo 21.78+ (ms. A), he considered the text as a possible candidate for a day-tablet of DAY 22 (the 18th day in his reconstruction). The new, indirect join to the text, KBo 30.73, has been collated in the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations and positively assessed by Daniel Schwemer.
Ms. A is a three-column tablet, with portions of all columns preserved except obv. iii. Mss. B and C are too fragmentary to permit any meaningful analysis.
Ms. A is written in the New Script. Characteristic features of the scribe, identically attested on both indirectly joined fragments, include KI with both Winkelhaken identical in size; AN with the horizontal crossing the vertical; BI with both horizontals beginning at the same level; and NA with both Winkelhaken written almost on the same horizontal line.
