Kurzbeschreibung |
|
The identification of KUB 54.39, following Taracha P. 2017a: 114, rests solely on the mention of the grooms, a group otherwise unattested in the festival corpus, excluding KUB 25.27 iii 10 (CTH 629). KUB 54.39 contains a fragmentary list of functionaries providing goods for the festival, as well as a list of minor deities who are the recipients of the offerings.

KUB 54.39 is small, double-sided fragment preserving portions of the left column and the intercolumnium on each side. It remains unclear whether the tablet was originally written in two or three columns on each side.

Palaeography and handwriting |
|
KUB 54.39 shows the New Script. However, certain sign forms, such as ḪA with only one Winkelhaken or ID that seems to have no broken horizontal, are usually considered characteristic for the Late New Script. By contrast, the sole available instance of LI shows an older form.
