The events of DAY 36, known only from Outline.7, include the king’s journey to Tawiniya – a city situated at a roughly one-day distance from Ḫattuša, though its precise location remains uncertain – to celebrate local festivals there. This constitutes the final journey undertaken by the king during the nuntarriyašḫa- festival. Whether the king remained in Tawiniya overnight cannot be determined.
An additional event, likely also taking place in Tawiniya, is the festival of torches.
Festivals associated with Tawiniya are otherwise known from the group of texts assembled under CTH 738. In those sources, however, the celebrations are carried out by the NIN.DINGIR priestess, who is not mentioned in the outlines for DAY 36. For this reason, no day-tablets can be securely identified for DAY 36.

References to the festival of torches in connection with autumn (and spring) festivals, although without any mention of Tawiniya, are found in the oracles KBo 31.167+ F.2 vi 3′–7′, KUB 34.48+ F5 iv 22–24 and KUB 50.81 1′–4′ (all CTH 568).
