CTH 532.9 is a fragment of a Hittite tablet with lunar eclipse omens (KBo 34.117). The text uses the verb ak- ‘to die’ for the eclipse.

The tablet was copied by K.K. Riemschneider in KBo 34. An edition is offered by Riemschneider K.K. 2004a: 172–173. Neu E. 1968a: 72 n. 3 proposes to reconstruct the verb forms in obv. 4′ and 8′ as ir-ḫa-it-ta-ri, but there is no parallel that would warrant his restoration. The passage of the fragment may fit into a gap in months four, five, or ten in CTH 532.3. But since so little is preserved, the fragment may as well belong to CTH 532.4, CTH 532.6, or CTH 532.8, or an entirely different text.
