History of publication

The fragment was published by H. Otten and C. Rüster in KBo 34 and edited by Riemschneider K.K. 2004a: 170 and Cotticelli-Kurras P. 1998a: 155.

General information

The triangular fragment was brought to the excavators and reportedly originates from w/17, south of Büyükale H. The script is Middle Script or New Script (New Script according to the online Konkordanz in HPM). It concerns the left and right body parts of a man. The fragment has not been reassigned to CTH 543 because it may belong to the text CTH 536.4 and/or CTH 536.7. Since CTH 536.4 combines terrestrial and morphoscopic omens, the original classification in HPMM 5 has been retained. A possible indirect join is KBo 34.129 (cf. KBo 34, VI).
