History of publication

Handcopy: C. Corti (KBo 66, Corti C. 2015a).

Edition: Sakuma Y. 2009b, II 538-539.

Tablet characteristics

The fragment preserves part of the tablet’s right edge. At the break, traces of signs from the now-lost reverse side extend onto the edge and are partially visible; however, the text is too poorly preserved to be legible.

Palaeography and handwriting

NS (jh.), according to the HPM Konkordanz. The fragment is too small for a reliable palaeographic analysis; the forms of the diagnostic signs AḪ and ḪAR are not unmistakably late.

Linguistic characteristics

The text features a rare instance of abbreviation of the technical augural term GUN (). See the notes to the text and the edition of CTH 573.86 for a discussion and parallel cases.
