A dating of this fragment to the NS (jh.) can be suggested based on the diagnostic sign TAR. However, this determination remains dubious, as several early forms characterize the fragment, such as IT, LI, possibly AL (less clear).

For the bird name ḫūwa-, attested here and elsewhere in its stem form instead of being inflected, see the discussion in the introduction to CTH 573.86.
