This text includes a series of oracular inquiries concerning offences or misconduct against the goddess of the Night, a deity whose cult originated in Kizzuwatna. Since individuals of royal rank are involved in the oracle investigations, it appears to be a matter of some importance.
Once it is established that offences were indeed committed against this deity (§2´-5´), the investigation seems to focus on whether the Queen or the King was responsible (§7´-8´). §3´ refers to ‘His Majesty’, but the context is lost; the following oracle (§4´) appears to be a confirmation oracle regarding the previous outcome.
The next paragraph (§7´; kola 79-80) is peculiar, as it consists of only a single line of text. This line contains only the oracular question, with no report. It refers to an ‘offence of the Queen’, and it is possible that the report was, exceptionally, omitted because the oracle ruled out her responsibility. However, even in such cases, one would typically expect to find the report with the augural response.
The following paragraph (§8´) instead refers to an ‘offence of His Majesty’ (k. 81), of which the King himself was unaware (k. 83). Although the augural response is lost (k. 95-96), it appears that this offence was confirmed, as the King is mentioned again in the subsequent passage (k. 97), the last preserved section of the text.
