Being very fragmentary, this text’s content is of difficult interpretation. While there are secondary hints that the text includes oracular content, there are no indicators suggesting the tablet is a letter.
The text mentions a “deity” several times, and Teššob in a passage in direct speech, perhaps referring also to the town of Maraša (but the reading is not entirely certain; kolon 17). A katra- woman, a title which indicates a temple functionary, was “questioned” about something that happened concerning the deity (k. 14), and some meals (offerings?) potentially within the temple of the deity. Thus, the text seems to refer to investigations into some problems regarding the deity, a typical content of oracular inquiries. If the reference to a “dog” in k. 10 means that a dog entered the temple premises, or an area with food or items for the gods, the problem may have to do with impurity.
