Tentative. Alternatively, the position taru(yali-) does not refer to a bird flying, but to the location or direction where “it thundered”, thus: “[] in the back, it thundered taru(yali-)” (thus also Sakuma Y. 2009b, II, 614: “Es donnerte wieder im tar.-(Bereich)”). Possibly, this event was considered significant for oracular purposes, thus the augur recorded it in his report (see Introductio). In the corpus of Hittite augury there are no other recorded instances of thunder.
