The question most likely belongs to a series of inquiries on this issue, as the subsequent questions narrow down the scope of the problem (cf. obv. 7´, obv. 14´); thus also Sakuma Y. 2009b, II 222.
While the restoration is supported by the parallel sentence in obv.? 9´, see one instance of elliptic 〈šeḫur〉 tarnaš in KUB 16.47, 22´ (CTH 573.64), where the object of ‘to release’ is only implied.
Or: “… are somehow angered about …”.
Based on the answer in kolon 23, and the next question, k. 24-25.
Differently from Sakuma Y. 2009b, II 224: “Wenn du, … nur wegen des Inneres des Tempels und der Feste [zornig (bist) ]” (my emphasis). In consideration of the following formula (“let the birds exclude (it)”), a negation is perhaps preferable in the protasis. This interpretation also provides a more logical follow-up to the previous question in obv. 7´, leading the inquiry into other possible causes of the goddess’ anger.
Since this question does not seem to add further details beyond the previous sentences, could it be that this is not the ‘Sun Goddess of Arinna’, but another deity?
