Phraseological. The complete formula is: IGI-anda SAG.KI-anza DAB-anna(š), also attested in shortened forms.
Lit. “left-ness of (a) ‘weapon’”. For the meaning of ‘weapon/tool’ in reference to an oracle, and the parallel usage of Akk. kakku as ‘sign’, see Moore G.C. 1981a, 49-52 and Hout Th.P.J. van den 1998c, 11. For this usage of GIŠTUKUL see also obv. 12´. This sentence can be also understood as a direct question: “… will an unfavorable (oracular) sign not bring down [His Majesty]?”
