This passage was cited by
Otten H. 1973c, 28-29 in reference to a section of medical ritual (KUB 44.61, IV 19-22), which addresses certain andrological problems. For the issue described (fragmentary), a man is instructed to warm up a
tappi- (
hapax) and place it upon(?) the penis, leaving it overnight (for this passage, see also
HW2, E, 42-43 sub
enu-, and
CHD L-N, 28 sub
lalu-). However, it is unclear whether the section of CTH 581.33 should be interpreted within a similar context; the opposition between ‘day’ and ‘night’ in obv. 8´-9´ is not necessarily related to a similar issue.
